Connecticut SharePoint Developers Group (CTSPDG)
Currently, the Connecticut SharePoint Developers Group (CTSPDG) runs their events in conjunction with CTDOTNET. The number of major corporations and government agencies in Connecticut that are using SharePoint, is growing considerably. Connecticut has numerous Microsoft-technology enterprise deployments at major Fortune 100 corporations like - Pfizer, Pratt & Whitney, United Technologies, Otis Elevators, Sikorsky, Mass Mutual, Aetna, Carrier, McKesson, CIGNA, ESPN and many more. CTSPDG aims to provide events that are pragmatic and solution-based to benefit the SharePoint developers.
Scot Hillier is an independent consultant and Microsoft SharePoint Most Valuable Professional focused on creating solutions for Information Workers with SharePoint, Office, and related technologies. He is the author/coauthor of 18 books on Microsoft technologies including “Inside SharePoint 2013” and “App Development in SharePoint 2013”. Scot splits his time between consulting on SharePoint projects, speaking at SharePoint events like the Microsoft SharePoint Conference, and delivering training for SharePoint developers through Critical Path Training. With SharePoint 2013, Microsoft has greatly extended the capabilities of SharePoint Enterprise Search by adding powerful new features and integrating the power, scalability, and extensibility of FAST Search Server for Sharepoint into the its own Enterprise Search offering. In this session, we'll explore the new features of SharePoint 2013 search and demonstrate real world examples for leveraging them to create compelling search-driven applications.
Reddy Kadasani is the SharePoint Practice Director at Tallan Inc. He has 14 years of experience developing custom web applications and SharePoint solutions. Reddy has been working with FAST search for SharePoint and creating custom search applications in SharePoint 2010. His areas of interest include, SharePoint and FAST search, search tuning, and federated search.
Mike Gerety is a Solutions Architect and member of the SharePoint practice at Tallan Inc. He has 12 years of experience developing custom applications on the Microsoft platform, including extensive experience with SharePoint Enterprise Search technologies including FAST Search and Enterprise Search. His areas of interest include Enterprise Web Application Development, SharePoint Solution Development, and development of search based applications on the SharePoint platform.
